Vodafone is one of the largest mobile telecommunications company and provides a wide range of services including voice, messaging, data and fixed communications and cable TV services. History

1984 – The company was founded as the Racal Electronics subsidiary, the third largest company in the UK, and was called Racal Strategic Radio Limited.

1991 – The company evolved from the Racal Electronics and placed the shares on the London Stock Exchange.

1999 – The merger with AirTouch Communication, the largest mobile operator in the US and the Verizon Wireless foundation.

2000 – Vodafone engulfed German versatile Mannesmannn AG group.

2006 – Vodafone Japan Sale and Telsim purchase (Vodafone Turkey).

2007 – Took the position of the majority stock holding in Vodafone Essar (Vodafone India).

2008 – Signed an agreement on strategic unincorporated partnership with MTS in Ukraine.

2009 –  Vodacom Group is a subsidiary of Vodafone. The merger of Vodafone Australia and Hutchinson 3G Australia.

2010 – The company sold its portion in China Mobile.

2011 – Sale of shares Vodafone owned in the French telecommunications company SFR.

2012 – The acquisition of Cable & Wireless Worldwide.

2013 – The Acquisition of German telecommunications company Kabel Deutschland

2014 – The company sold 45% of shares in Verizon Wireless for 130 billion pounds and 85 billion pounds paid to shareholders. The acquisition of Ono operator in Spain.

Vodafone brand is estimated at 27 billion pounds, and it is the most expensive brand in the UK (according to the rating of Brand Finance).
