How does the service work?
Protection from incoming calls and SMS from suspicious numbers
If a subscriber calls you or sends you a message from a number that was likely used for malicious calls or spam sending, we will block calls and SMS from this number and inform you about it in a message from the Vodafone number.
To receive a call or SMS from such a number, you need to deactivate the Suspicious Number service by dialing the combination 2070#.
Protection when trying to make the outgoing calls or send SMS to suspicious numbers.
If you try to call a number that was likely used for malicious calls or spam sending, you will hear a voice message about it before the connection, and then the call will be disconnected. If you try to send an SMS to a number that was likely used for malicious calls or spam sending, we will block sending SMS to this number and inform you about it in a message from the Vodafone number.
What to do if you believe the number has been wrongly identified as being used for malicious calls and spam distribution?
To check if the number was really not used for malicious calls and spam sending, please call 111 and leave a request. After checking, we will inform you of the result via SMS.
What is the principle of blocking calls and SMS?
The customer activating the service agrees to the analysis of the numbers called to identify their use in fraudulent schemes such as making malicious calls, sending spam and unauthorized interference in the operation and / or use of telecommunications networks. The operator, using its own algorithms, identifies the numbers and alpha names that pose a potential threat to other subscribers, make malicious calls and are likely the distributors of unsolicited SMS (spam).
Work of the service in roaming
If you are roaming, the Operator will be able to protect you from the malicious calls and spam from Vodafone Ukraine subscribers located in Ukraine. In other cases, the Operator does not guarantee the operation of the Suspicious Number service on the side of roaming partners for technical reasons.
