Outgoing calls in Ukraine

If you are in Ukraine and have chosen the network of PrJSC “VF Ukraine” and wish to call another Ukrainian number, dial the number in international format. You will be charged the same rate as a local call within Ukraine.

Number dialling format:

• <Country code> <area or mobile network code in Ukraine without the leading zero> <phone number>

  For example, to call Odessa, dial:

   +380 482 XXX XXX, where:

• <+> – sign to replace the international access code;

• 380 – international code for Ukraine;

• 482 – Odessa city code;

• XXX XXX – subscriber’s phone number;

For roaming calls within Ukraine, check with your home operator for rates.

Outgoing calls outside Ukraine (international calls)

If you are in Ukraine and wish to call a subscriber outside the country, dial the number in international format. You will be charged the same rate as an international call outside Ukraine.

Number dialling format:

• <Country code> <area/mobile network code> <phone number>

  For example, to call San Francisco, dial:

   +1 415 XXX XX XX, where:

• <+> – sign to replace the international access code;

• 1 – USA code;

• 415 - San Francisco city code;

• XXX XX XX – subscriber’s phone number.

For roaming calls outside Ukraine, check with your home operator for rates.

SIM card

The SIM card contains your personal phone number. Always keep it in your phone. Find your PIN and PUK codes on the back of your SIM card.

How to make my first call

1. Insert the SIM card into your mobile phone.

2. Turn on your phone and enter the PIN code 0000.

To make a call, follow these steps:

• 050 XXX XXX – to call a mobile number of PrJSC “Vodafone Ukraine”.

• (Operator Code) XXX XXX – to call a mobile number of other operators.

• (City Code) XXX XXX – to call a landline number.

• + (Country Code) (City Code) XXX XXX – to call abroad.

Please note: You will only be able to receive calls after making your first call.

My account

Each customer of the Prepaid Service gets a personal account that keeps record of all top-ups and spending.

How to top up your account:

1. Scratch off the protective layer on the back of the card to reveal the 14-digit code.

2. Call the Prepaid Service menu number 7722 from your mobile phone and follow the voice prompts. (When making your first top-up, listen to the introductory instructions and select your language.)

3. When prompted to top up your account, press 2.

4. Enter the 14-digit card code and do not press any other keys.

Your account will be topped up!

USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Services Data) is a data exchange technology that provides information exchange between customers and mobile operator services in real time.

Please note: USSD messages are not stored in your phone’s memory.

When using USSD requests *104*phone number#, *777#, *777*1#, *777*2#, *777*3#, the subscriber may manually select the language of the USSD response message: Ukrainian, russian, or English.

The default language is Ukrainian. To switch to Russian, dial *02 after the request number before the # symbol, for English, dial *03.

You may change the language only for the current request.

Example for USSD request *777#:

• *777*01# or *777# — Ukrainian;

• *777*02# — Russian;

• *777*03# — English.

GPRS service blocking

USSD codes for managing the service are collected on the “Support” page in the “Useful USSD Codes” section — “GPRS Services Blocking”.

Blocking/unblocking will be completed within 24 hours from the request. The subscriber will receive an SMS notification once the process is finished.

Restrictions:

The service is available only to subscribers of PrJSC “Vodafone Ukraine” and is not provided to guest subscribers of roaming partner operators.

If the “Mobile Internet, WAP, Online TV” service is actively blocked, and the subscriber requests activation of “Mobile Internet in Roaming”, then in addition to activating “Mobile Internet in Roaming”, GPRS, WAP, Online TV services in the home network will also be activated, i.e., blocking of “Mobile Internet, WAP, Online TV” will be deactivated.

When using USSD requests * 104 * phone number #, * 110#, * 110 * 1#, * 110 * 2#, * 110 * 3#, customers may manually select the language of the USSD response message: Ukrainian, Russian or English.

The default language is Ukrainian. To change the language:

• Russian – add *02 after the request number.

• English – add *03.

The language changes only for the current query.

Example for USSD request * 110#:

• *110*01# or *110# – Ukrainian.

• *110*02# – Russian.

• *110*03# – English.

Service activation/deactivation

To activate or deactivate services, you must use a password added at the end of each request. The password ensures the confidentiality of service management.

How to get a password?

• For individual entities: call the Customer Service Centre at 111. A unique generated password will be sent to you via SMS within 2 days.

• For legal entities: request a password by sending a request by fax to (044) 240 240 0 or call (050) 462 24 00. You will receive the assigned password via SMS or from your organisation’s contact person within 2 days.

What does a contract mean?

Contract form of service is a way of using the services of a mobile operator based on a signed contract. It has several important advantages: the security of your data, because all actions with a SIM are possible only with a passport, unlimited tariffs, the ability to use the connection even with a zero balance.

How is payment made?

In the first month: Payment for the tariff and additional services will be removed within a day after connection in proportion to the remaining days in the month.

Monthly: Every 1st day, payment for the next month is withdrawn.

What to do if there are not enough funds in the account?

If there are not enough funds, the credit limit will work. The debt must be repaid by the 15th. To find out the limit, go to the My Vodafone application (Menu - More - Profile details - Limit) or call 111.

When is the number blocked?

Blocking occurs if the debt exceeds the credit limit after the 1st or when connecting paid services.

How to unblock a number?

Simply top up the account for the amount of the debt + UAH 0.01.

You may choose the most convenient way to connect to the Vodafone Ukraine network:

• Prepaid — a quick way to start using mobile services by choosing a convenient plan.

• Postpaid (contract) — the number is registered to a passport and protected from any changes without the owner’s consent, and the service remains available even with a zero balance.

Prepaid

To become a Prepaid Subscriber, simply buy a starter package with any tariff offered by PrJSC “VF Ukraine”.

1. Insert a SIM card into your phone and activate it by making a call before the date indicated on the back of the card in Ukraine in the network of PrJSC “VF Ukraine”.

2. You will need a GSM 900/1800 mobile phone to use communications services.

If you did not your SIM card (did not make a call before the specified date), you will not be able to use the services included in this service package. After activation, the validity period of your number is set to 30 days from the first call, unless your account is topped up. A top-up of at least UAH 5 extends the validity period to 370 days.

Please note! If there are no outgoing activities (calls or SMS) within 10 months, the tariff may be changed to one that is currently available for activation.

Postpaid

To become a Postpaid subscriber, please select a tariff and sign a contract for the provision of mobile communications services with PrJSC “VF Ukraine”.

To conclude the contract you need to provide the following:

• Passport of a citizen of Ukraine with a residence registration stamp.

• Identification number certificate.

• Residential address (mailing address).

• Contact phone number in Ukraine.

Since the introduction of martial law in Ukraine on February 24, 2022, access to the offices of PJSC Vodafone Ukraine has been restricted to prevent unauthorized persons from entering and to avoid bringing explosive objects into the secured building.

Unfortunately, our office premises have limited shelter facilities where citizens could stay during personal appointments in case of an air raid alert.

According to guidance on handling requests under martial law, published on the official website of the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, certain rights of applicants may be affected by enhanced security measures and the special operating regime of PJSC Vodafone Ukraine, including restrictions on movement within the premises. As a result, citizens’ rights to personal appointments with management or other officials, or to be present during the consideration of a complaint or request, may be limited.

Therefore, personal appointments with the management of PJSC Vodafone Ukraine are temporarily suspended.

However, citizens can still exercise their right to submit requests orally or in writing.
