What is Online PASS?

This is an additional service from Vodafone. After its activation, the traffic for applications within this service is unlimited. When you use them, your gigabytes will not be deducted.

What applications are included in Online PASS service?

Online PASS service includes:

  • Messaging (text and graphic messages) in Viber, Telegram, WhatsApp, Hangouts, WeChat, Skype, Zoom, Google Classroom;
  • Audio and video calls in Zoom, Viber, WhatsApp, Skype, Skype for business, Hangouts, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, WeChat, FaceTime.

The list of applications may be changed, which will be informed in advance in accordance with the law. Follow this page to be the first to know what new applications will appear in your PASS.

How to use the service and how much does it cost?

The service will be available for use if two compulsory conditions are met:

- basic package of services is paid for a month/4 weeks within your tariff plan;

- Online PASS service is activated, and the cost of its use is paid.

If at least one of compulsory conditions is not met, the basic tariffs will be applied according to your tariff plan.

The cost of Online PASS service is free till 14.01.2021,

After that – 30 UAH per month.

On pre-paid conditions, every month from 00:00 to 8:00, the full cost of service is charged during its activation and if there is a sufficient sum on the account. Information about this will be sent in SMS after 8:00.

On contract conditions upon activation, pay the cost of service in proportion to the number of days remaining till the end of the month, and then the full cost of service will be charged every 1st day of the month.

Online PASS service is mutually exclusive with Online PASS_2019 service. If you activate Online PASS service, Online PASS_2019 service will be deactivated.

What is “Online PASS as a gift”?

This is a new promotional offer that allows all Vodafone subscribers to activate and use Online PASS service for free till 14.01.2021 inclusively.

Promotion validity: 01.10.2020 – 14.01.2021 inclusively. Period of use for free: from the moment of activation (on the condition, that the service is activated during the promotion period) till 14.01.2021 inclusively.

The subscribers of the following tariffs can become participants of the Promotion:

Pre-paid: Red Extra XS, Device M, Device L, Light+, RED XS+, 4G Smart XS, 4G Smart S, 4G Smart M, Partner, Red Extra XS 2, SuperNet Start, Pro, Pro+, Turbo, SuperNet Unlim, Turbo 2019, Unlim 3G, Unlim 3G Plus.

What can be charged when using applications?

Online PASS is not applied to audio and video calls in Telegram application, as well as messaging (text and graphic messages) in applications: Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Skype for business – they will be charged according to your tariff plan.

When Online PASS service is activated, you will receive unlimited traffic in the listed applications, except for technical traffic, which may be charged, for example:

- Show ads while watching streaming video;

- Ads and promotional links that appear in applications;

- External links and navigation to other sites, programs, news, blogs, maps, etc;

- Podcasts

- RRS channels

- Software/application updates

- Videos and content hosted on other sites that are played in the app.

The traffic of the connected device when using the phone as an Internet access point (in modem mode) or when used in modems, downloading traffic using data compression services (Onavo, KickBit ...) or VPN is charged according to the terms of your tariff plan.

Most services and applications use not only their own but also third-party resources that can use GB of your main package. For the correct operation of Online PASS service, we recommend to monitor the balance of GB in the main package, use additional Internet packages if necessary.

PASS services are provided only if you use the service through official iOS or Android applications, and through official web versions in smartphones. When using unofficial applications or Lite-versions, traffic may not be identified on the network and will be charged according to your tariff plan.

With an increased load on the network, the Internet speed may be limited. The services operate on the territory of Ukraine in the presence of coverage of the operator’s network, except for the territory where public authorities temporarily do not exercise their powers or do not exercise them in full.

What is Online PASS_2019?

If you have activated Online PASS service before October 1, 2020, then you are using Online PASS_2019 service. From the 1st of October, “Online PASS” service changed its name to “Online PASS_2019” and was closed for new activations.

Online PASS_2019 service allows you to use the following services without charging for traffic in accordance with the terms of your tariff plan:

- Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest;

- Messaging (text and graphic messages) in Viber, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Skype, Telegram and SnapChat.

Most services and applications use not only their own but also third-party resources that can use the GB of your main package. For the correct operation of the PASS service, we recommend monitoring the balance of the GB in the main package, use additional Internet packages if necessary.

What can be charged when using applications?

Online PASS_2019 – is not applied to audio and video calls – they will be charged according to your tariff plan.

The traffic of the connected device when using the phone as an Internet access point (in modem mode) or when used in modems, downloading traffic using data compression services (Onavo, KickBit ...) or VPN is charged according to the terms of your tariff plan.

With an increased load on the network, the speed of Internet access may be limited. Services operate on the territory of Ukraine in the presence of coverage of the operator’s network, except for the temporarily occupied territory and the territory in which public authorities temporarily do not exercise their powers or do not exercise them in full.

Please note that some applications may access other platforms/services/sites of other content providers, and this traffic may be charged according to your tariff plan, for example:

Online PASS_2019 service is available for use if two compulsory conditions are met:

In case of non-compliance with at least one of the compulsory conditions, the basic tariffs will be applied in accordance with your tariff plan.

On pre-paid conditions, the cost of service is charged monthly on the date of activation in the period from 00:00 to 8:00, which will be informed by SMS after 8:00.

On contract conditions, the cost of service is charged every 1st day of the month.

 The Online PASS service is mutually exclusive with Online PASS_2019 service. If Online PASS service is activated, Online PASS_2019 service will be deactivated.

What is “YouTube Uninterrupted”?

This is a promotion from Vodafone in partnership with YouTube, in which all current and new customers of Vodafone network get the opportunity to activate YouTube Premium subscription and Video Pass service for 4 months for free, followed by a paid extension.
